Janie Nace is a Southeast Texas native with over 12 years of experience teaching kindergarten. She lives in Vidor with her husband Mark and their daughter Samantha.

After years of dreaming about opening her own preschool, she created Early Explorers to be a warm, welcoming place where kids can learn, play, and feel right at home. She’s so excited to share this space with local families and help little learners grow!

Maddie Blackshear is a longtime Vidor resident with a heart for helping kids and families thrive. She holds a degree in education from Lamar University and brings over 10 years of experience in both elementary and early childhood settings.

At Early Explorers, you’ll often find her greeting families at the door, answering questions, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband Samuel and their three kids - Baker, Blake, and Boston. She can’t wait to welcome you!

Kasie Veazey brings over 8 years of early childhood experience and a big heart to our “Exploring Nature” Pre-K 3 classroom. With a background in kindergarten and a passion for hands-on learning, she loves helping little ones grow through play, creativity, and curiosity.

Kasie believes every milestone matters, and she’s all about making learning fun, joyful, and meaningful. She’s so excited for a year full of growth, adventure, and laughter with her tiny explorers!
